CHSA is a registered NPO that falls under the oversight of the Department of Social Development (DSD). The beneficiaries of some of our centres are affected by mental as well as physical disabilities; these facilities fall under the oversight of the Department of Health.
The South African Disability Alliance (SADA) is a consultative forum of national organisations for persons with disabilities, engaging with government on key legislative issues such as the implementation of United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD).
Our regional partners share ideas, initiatives and mutual support across Zambia, Zimbabwe, Eswatini, Botswana and Namibia.
National Lotteries Commission (NLC)
We are very fortunate to be regular recipients of assistance from the NLC in the form of funding for operational costs or projects, or capital items such as motor vehicles.
